Buffet for AI assistants. All you can meet.

A remote MCP server that gives Claude, ChatGPT and any other MCP client Buffet's real weekly lineup of events and hangouts in Los Angeles, plus how the app works. Read-only. No sign-in.

Buffet is an iOS app for meeting people in real life. The name is not about food. Each week Buffet curates a short list of real things happening in the city, free concerts, festivals, art walks, happy hours, and anyone can get a plate at one. When three people have a plate at the same pick, the group chat opens. Tables never grow past six.

Endpoint

https://mcp.joinbuffet.com/mcp

Streamable HTTP, stateless. The server negotiates the newest MCP protocol revision the client supports, from the 2025 revisions through the current one. No authentication: everything served is already public. Responses are cached for up to 15 minutes.

Rate limits: none are enforced beyond the hosting platform's defaults, and the data changes once a week, so there is no reason to poll. Automated traffic that reads the lineup more than a few times a minute may be blocked.

Data and privacy

The server returns events and venues only: names, addresses, times, prices, tags and descriptions that Buffet already publishes in the app. It never returns information about Buffet members, RSVPs or messages, holds no user accounts, and keeps no record of conversations. Requests are served by Vercel; standard request logs apply. See the privacy policy.

Terms: use of this server is subject to Buffet's Terms of Service. The lineup is provided so assistants can show people what is on and how to join; it is not licensed for bulk redistribution or for building a competing listing, and it is offered as is, with no uptime guarantee.

Venues and organisers

The lineup is curated by Buffet, not user-submitted. If you run a venue, bar, restaurant or event and want to host a Buffet table, start at joinbuffet.com/partners.
